This plant can go in ponds or aquariums as it can tolerate very cold temps and also very warm temps. It is important that the leaves poke out the top of the pond or aquarium so the plant can breath as this plant is semi-aquatic, not a true aquatic. Also known as ‘Acorus Rush’.
They are rhizomatous perennials that love moisture. Variegatus have a compact and tufted growth habit. It is considered a semi-evergreen perennial which grows to approximately 30-35 cm in height and spread. They can spread to 1 metre and a height of 50 cm eventually.
*Plants may arrive looking slightly different to pictured as some are grown emersed. Rest assured, after a short time in the aquarium the plant converts to its underwater form.
